Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking a Superintendent to manage field operations for Orange County projects in Santa Ana. You will supervise subcontractors, uphold Safety/Zero Harm, and collaborate with the PM to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

You will mentor field staff, develop phase/site logistics plans, and lead preconstruction activities to ensure successful delivery. A strong read of plans and experience in K-12/Higher Ed is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of commercial construction field experience (K-12 and/or Higher Ed).
• 5–10 years of direct supervisory experience over staff and subcontractors.
• Proficiency with PC and construction tools; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks and MS Office.
• Ability to read plans and specifications; OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage safety programs aligned with ZERO HARM policy.
• Coordinate subcontractors and field teams to ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery.
• Develop and monitor project budgets with the PM; participate in preconstruction activities.
• Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and coordinate with Owners, A/E, and stakeholders.
• Prepare and review project schedules (P6 preferred) and conduct regular progress updates.
• Identify risks, manage cost events, and communicate changes with proper approvals.
