Job summary

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a hands-on Superintendent for our special projects group. The role covers all field operations, coordinating subcontractors and implementing the Zero Harm safety program on site.

You will help drive preconstruction decisions with the project manager to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery. The position requires 7+ years in commercial construction, supervisory experience, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks, and Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of commercial construction field experience.
• 3 years of direct supervisory experience over staff and subcontractors.
• Proficiency with PC and common construction tools and software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks and MS Office.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• OSHA 30 certification; willingness to work night shifts if needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Zero Harm safety culture on site through planning, walks and toolbox talks.
• Lead coordination with owners, subcontractors, and team members; manage field operations.
• Prepare and present operations-related components of proposals and presentations.
• Collaborate with Project Manager on budget, cost events, and change notifications.
• Assist in preconstruction, constructability reviews, and schedule development.
• Develop and maintain the overall project plan, phasing, and milestones.
