Job summary

US Ice Rinks, Inc. in Flint, MI seeks a Zamboni Driver/Venue Operations Associate to maintain ice at professional standards. You will operate the Zamboni, perform maintenance, and support event setup and teardown behind the scenes.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of Zamboni experience, a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays; candidates must endure cold environments and physical work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years operating a Zamboni or managing ice rink maintenance preferred.
• Understanding of ice resurfacing techniques, refrigeration systems, and basic mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in cold environments.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Zamboni to resurface the ice, edging, flooding, and painting.
• Perform daily and monthly maintenance on the Zamboni and related equipment.
• Follow safety procedures while operating machinery and maintaining ice surface.
• Assist with general building upkeep including snow removal, trash, lawn care, and event setup/teardown.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and resurfacing logs.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance team to ensure timely task completion and event readiness.
• Support other facility operations as assigned.
• Complete assigned work orders on time and support daily operations.
