Job summary

Noviicearena is seeking a dependable Zamboni Driver to keep the ice smooth and the arena running for hockey, figure skating, public skate, and events. As a part-time role, you will operate the Zamboni/Olympia resurfacer, monitor ice conditions, perform basic maintenance, and help with arena cleaning and setup.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Prior experience operating a Zamboni or Olympia resurfacer preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery.
• Knowledge of ice refrigeration systems is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold environments.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Zamboni or Olympia to resurface and maintain high-quality ice.
• Monitor ice conditions and handle edging, patching, and adjustments as needed.
• Complete basic equipment checks, cleaning, refueling, and maintenance.
• Help keep locker rooms, lobbies, restrooms, benches, and arena areas clean and organized.
• Assist with event setups, snow removal, and general facility needs.
• Keep an eye on building and equipment systems and report any issues.
• Pitch in wherever needed to keep the arena running smoothly.
