• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Operate the Zamboni to resurface the ice, edging, flooding, and painting.
• Perform daily and monthly maintenance on the Zamboni and related equipment.
• Follow safety procedures while operating machinery and maintaining ice surface.
• Assist with general building upkeep including snow removal, trash, lawn care, and event setup/teardown.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and resurfacing logs.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance team to ensure timely task completion and event readiness.
• Support other facility operations as assigned.
• Complete assigned work orders on time and support daily operations.

Zamboni Driver/Venue Operations Associate

The Zamboni Driver plays a critical role in maintaining professional-grade ice conditions that meet Ontario Hockey League (OHL) standards. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in ice rink operations, mechanical systems, and facility maintenance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ice Maintenance: Operate the Zamboni to resurface the ice, conduct edging, flooding, and painting to maintain peak conditions.
• Equipment Care: Perform daily and monthly maintenance on the Zamboni and other ice-related equipment.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and protocols while operating machinery and maintaining the ice surface.
• Facility Support: Assist with general building upkeep including snow removal, trash management, lawn care, and event setup/teardown.
• Log Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and resurfacing logs.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and maintenance team to ensure timely task completion and event readiness.
• Additional Duties: Support other operational areas of the facility as assigned.
• Complete assigned work orders in a timely and efficient manner
• Support daily facility operations and ensure readiness for upcoming events
• Assist with general building maintenance, repair, and upkeep
• Perform event setup and tear-down, including furniture and equipment movement
• Follow all preventive maintenance and energy management programs
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely (forklift/snow plow experience is a plus)
• Identify potential issues and report concerns to management promptly
• Maintain compliance with all safety policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Education: High school diploma or GED required

Experience: Minimum 1–2 years operating a Zamboni or managing ice rink maintenance preferred

Technical Skills: Understanding of ice resurfacing techniques, refrigeration systems, and basic mechanical/electrical equipment

Licensing: Valid driver’s license required

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work on your feet for long periods, and perform duties in cold environments and during physically demanding conditions

Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

WORK ENVIRONMENT & BENEFITS

Must be physically capable of performing manual labor tasks for extended periods
