Job summary

Goodwill Industries and WorkOne seek a dedicated partner to recruit and place out-of-school youth (ages 16–24) in work experiences, on-the-job training, and competitive employment across LaPorte, Porter and Lake Counties.

The role builds employer partnerships, coordinates outreach and marketing, screens applicants, and provides ongoing on-site support to ensure long-term job success while upholding ADA compliance. A bachelor’s degree and two years’ relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of relevant experience in workforce development, career counseling, recruitment, or a related field.
• Strong active listening and counseling skills to effectively guide and support individuals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of proficiency in data entry and administrative accuracy.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local employers, youth-serving organizations, and post-secondary institutions to advocate for youth workforce development.
• Partner with WorkOne Business Services to leverage leads and convert them into work experiences, OJT, or employment opportunities.
• Coordinate daily travel for community outreach, employer services, marketing, and recruitment activities.
• Screen, interview, and hire Out-of-School Youth, ensuring clear communication between candidates and employers.
• Provide ongoing on-site and off-site job support to ensure retention and success.
