Job summary

Goodwill Industries seeks a dedicated program specialist to partner with WorkOne and local employers, creating work experiences and employment opportunities for youth aged 16–24. You will market and recruit, coordinate OJT/OOSY placements, and ensure accessibility and ADA compliance across placements.

Responsibilities include screening and placing candidates, maintaining employer relations, and delivering ongoing support to ensure retention and success in competitive industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of relevant experience in workforce development, career counseling, recruitment, or a related field.
• Strong active listening and counseling skills to effectively guide and support individuals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain partnerships with local employers, youth-serving organizations, and post-secondary institutions.
• Coordinate with WorkOne BSR team to convert leads into WE, OJT, or employment opportunities.
• Schedule local travel for community outreach, employer services, marketing, and recruitment.
• Manage screening, applications, interviews, and hiring for Out-of-School Youth, ensuring clear communication between candidates and employers.
• Provide on-site and off-site job support to ensure retention and success for placed youth.
