Job summary

i9 Sports is seeking a Youth Sports Official to enforce rules, coach on-field, and promote a positive culture during games for players aged 3–14 in our flag football, soccer, basketball, and other programs.

This role emphasizes safety and sportsmanship, requires excellent communication, and involves keeping time and score, managing age-appropriate instruction, and assisting with field setup and breakdown on game days.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience.
• Motivated self-starter; able to work independently and solve problems.
• Ability to ensure safety of players in all situations.
• Positive attitude and ability to build professional relationships.
• Availability to work weekends and some evenings for the full season (7 weeks).

The Youth Sports Official is a critical role on any sports field/court; responsible for enforcing rules while also cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. This role has a direct impact on players, coaches, and spectators each and every game day.

• Understand & enforce the i9 Sports rules books ensuring a fun, learning, and safety environment for all players


• Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values


• Keep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition


• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills


• Help set up and break down the fields/courts on Game-day
