Job summary

i9 Sports in Mission, KS is seeking a Youth Sports Official to enforce rules, serve as an on-field coach, and promote a positive culture across soccer, basketball, flag football, volleyball, and tennis.

You will manage game time, support safety, and help teach core values such as sportsmanship while adapting to an active game-day environment. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills required.
• Experience officiating, playing, or coaching in youth sports.
• Able to work weekends/evenings and handle multiple games.
• Self-motivated and independent problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Enforce i9 Sports rules to ensure fun, learning and safety for all players.
• Teach and demonstrate core concepts including sportsmanship.
• Keep time and score during games; manage age-appropriate instruction and competition.
• Consistently show a positive attitude and strong customer service.
• Assist with setup and takedown of fields/courts on game days.

Job Summary

The Youth Sports Official is a critical role on any sports field/court; responsible for enforcing rules while also cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. This role has a direct impact on players, coaches, and spectators each and every game day.

Responsibilities

• Understand & enforce the i9 Sports rules books ensuring a fun, learning, and safety environment for all players
• Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values
• Keep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
• Help set up and break down the fields/courts on Game-day

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience
• Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
• Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
• Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
• Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, :7 weeks)
