Job summary

Nexus Family Healing in Mille Lacs Academy, Onamia, MN, is seeking a Recreational and Vocational Manager to develop, implement, and oversee youth vocational and recreational programs that prepare residents for employment and independent living. This full‑time, on‑site role leads staff, builds community partnerships, and coordinates career planning, budgets, and youth records.

Required: Bachelor's degree in social services or vocational training, 4 years’ relevant experience, valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social services and/or vocational training with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving requirements.
• Must pass DHS background check and Handle With Care training/exam.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain vocational and recreational programs to build skills and employability.
• Collaborate with community leaders, employers, and educators for internships and work programs.
• Assess youth development needs and assist with essential documents and applications.
• Guide career exploration, resume building, and job search strategies.
• Lead staff, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
