Job summary

Chicago Union in Evanston seeks a dedicated youth program facilitator to direct, supervise, and organize participants, delivering activities that meet camper outcomes while applying our foundation curriculum and upholding health and safety standards.

You will lead Tuesday practices 5-7pm (Sept 8–Oct 27), coach select weekend tournaments, travel as needed, and communicate with players, parents, and coordinators in a positive, professional manner.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to interact with all age levels.
• Experience working with K-8th grade children preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience (staff management experience a plus).
• Camp experience is a bonus, though not required.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and organize participants within activities to meet outcomes.
• Apply energy and fun in working with participants through communication, relationship development, and empowerment of youth.
• Ensure participants are always properly supervised and safe.
• Be aware of and implement safety guidelines.
• Develop and implement activities within program guidelines.
• Use the foundation curriculum to provide progression of activities within individual and group interests.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety for participants and staff.
• Coordinate with Youth Director on needs and issues; provide feedback to parents as needed.
• Monitor equipment and facilities; report repairs promptly to Youth Director.
• Act as a positive role model and uphold safety rules and procedures.
• Represent the program with parents or community members; maintain positive image.
• Follow safety and security protocols when participants are in public; communicate positively.
