Job summary

The Centers in Ohio is seeking a Crisis Response Specialist to respond to and manage crisis situations involving youth residents at the H.O.P.E. Campus, using trauma-informed approaches to de-escalate conflicts and support residents and staff.

You will serve as the on-call crisis response lead, train staff, conduct drills, document incidents, and collaborate with clinical and programming teams to promote safety and emotional regulation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social services or related field.
• Two years youth residential treatment experience preferred.
• Therapeutic Crisis Intervention trainer preferred.
• Experience with Therapeutic Crisis Intervention or Crisis Prevention Institute training.
• Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crisis situations involving residents and safety concerns.
• Utilize trauma-informed and de-escalation techniques to stabilize incidents.
• Assess risks and implement safety protocols for residents and staff.
• Serve as on-call crisis response lead during designated shifts.
• Provide emotional support to residents in crisis and help regain control.
• Train and mentor staff on trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and de-escalation.
