Job summary

Boys and Girls Club Whittier / Pico Rivera is seeking an After School Driver to transport youth safely on assigned routes and on-demand service in Whittier, CA. A California Driver's License and driving experience with a Class C license are required, with CPR/First Aid and Mandated Reporter training preferred.

This part-time position has a set schedule of 10 hours per week. Responsibilities include safe passenger transport, vehicle maintenance, detailed reporting, and effective communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of relevant experience working with children/youth in educational, recreational, or youth development setting.
• 1 year of driving experience with a Class C license.
• California Driver's License required; CPR/First Aid and Mandated Reporter training preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports passengers in vans and related vehicles on assigned routes or on-demand service.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers at all times.
• Operate a two-way radio to communicate with staff; follow all safety procedures and schedules.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform pre/post- trip inspections.
• Complete records and detailed reports as required; prepare accident/incident reports.
