North Carolina Department of Public Safety is seeking a Youth Counselor Technician (YTC-Driver) to provide transportation and supervision for court-involved youth and to support juvenile facilities. This is a full-time, direct-care role with weekend/holiday rotation, requiring ability to transport youths to court, detention centers, medical appointments, and related destinations.

The position offers step pay progression, sign-on bonus of $3,000, and benefits.

Formación

• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Must be physically capable of restraining juveniles and defending self after training.
• Related human services experience may substitute for education where required.

Responsabilidades

• Transport and supervise youths to court hearings, detention centers, and medical appointments.
• Monitor youth in custody and provide non-secure transportation as needed.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle fleet, and manage transportation documents.
