Job summary

Oregon Department of Human Services seeks a Youth Transition Specialist to strengthen supports for foster youth and young people who aged out of care. You will oversee operations, monitor compliance, and coordinate programs within the Child Welfare Youth Transitions team in Salem.

The role leads policy and procedure implementation, provides training and technical consultation, and collaborates with internal and external partners to improve systems and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 2 years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
• Or five years of experience in a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight and coordination for the Youth Transitions (YT) program.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state requirements and support agency-wide efficiency.
• Lead the team’s rule, policy, and procedure efforts and train staff.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve systems and implement operational improvements.
