Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of college coursework in social or human service field preferred.
• Experience: One year full time paid or volunteer experience working with at-risk or delinquent youth preferred.
• Skills: Able to present creative recreational or leisure activities; strong communication, group dynamics, leadership, and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Maintain socially appropriate behavior of youth through de-escalation skills and disciplinary procedures.
• Serve as a positive role model through appearance, attitude, and behavior.
• Provide supervision and support for remedial education, tutoring and GED prep.
• Mentor for skill building and employability development.
• Assist with coordination and transportation of youth for documents and employment-related activities.
• Logistically coordinate and schedule youth for transportation to services.
• Transport youth to job sites for interviews or community service projects.
• Maintain safe sight and sound supervision of youth and a secure environment.
• Implement behavior management system and documentation.
• Ensure safe operation of assigned Project Bridge Transition vehicles.
