Job summary

Youth Elevation LLC is looking for a passionate Therapeutic Skill Builder to join our team in Lynchburg, VA. You will work directly with youth to develop essential life skills and overcome personal challenges in home, school, and community settings.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, teaching coping strategies and self-regulation, and documenting progress while collaborating with families and clinical supervisors to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior experience with children/adolescents or behavioral health.
• Strong trauma-informed care and youth development knowledge.
• Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
• Maintain professional boundaries while building trust with youth.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized therapeutic skill-building sessions to youth in home, community, and school settings.
• Implement treatment plans developed by clinical supervisors to support behavioral and emotional growth.
• Teach coping strategies, social skills, and self-regulation techniques to children and adolescents.
• Document session progress, client goals, and behavioral observations timely and accurately.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Model positive behavior and serve as a role model for youth clients.
• Monitor and report changes in client behavior or safety concerns to supervising clinicians.
