Job summary

City of Sunny Isles Beach is seeking a professional recreation staff member to plan, organize, implement, and manage city activities, events, and programs for youth and teens, reporting to the Recreation Manager.

You will supervise staff and volunteers, prepare reports, manage budgets, coordinate with other departments and partners, and promote programs with a strong focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation (preferred) with 3 years of recreation management experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Experience with youth/teen programming preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate youth and teen activities and events.
• Plan and evaluate Summer Camp programs, including staff hiring and training.
• Direct, train, and evaluate contractors, employees, and teen volunteers.
• Manage budgets, costs, revenues, and provide annual budget requests.
• Coordinate with staff and other departments to develop solutions for teen programs.
• Prepare studies and reports for decision making and respond to inquiries.
