Job summary

Grand St. Settlement operates the Best Buy Teen Tech Center, a state-of-the-art makerspace on the Lower East Side that provides New York City teens with access to innovative technology, hands-on learning, and mentors.

The Pathways Coordinator designs and leads college, career, and workforce development initiatives and builds partnerships with employers, colleges, and community organizations to support youth in achieving educational and professional goals.

Qualifications

• College Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience working with young people, including older youth.
• 2+ years designing and implementing new programs.
• 2+ years of staff supervision experience.
• 1+ year of family and community engagement events.
• Analytical approach to solving problems and meeting benchmarks.
• Trauma-informed, multi-cultural youth development experience.
• Compliance with background checks and clearances as required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate programming related to college-career readiness and partnerships.
• Lead workshops on resume building, college exploration, and career goals.
• Provide enrichment and coordinate with TTC Coordinator and Mentor Coordinator.
• Engage with The Clubhouse Network and Best Buy Foundation partners.
• Attend regional and national events, and support recruitment and outreach.
• Supervise youth members and coordinate funding-related activities.
• Organize college- and career-readiness events for TTC calendar.
• Develop partnerships with corporations, nonprofits, and colleges.
