Job summary

Grand St. Settlement operates the Best Buy Teen Tech Center on the Lower East Side, giving NYC teens access to technology, hands-on learning, and mentors through partnerships with the Best Buy Foundation and The Clubhouse Network.

The Pathways Coordinator leads college, career, and workforce development initiatives. This role builds partnerships with employers and colleges, designs internship and mentorship opportunities, and supports youth in achieving educational and professional goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• Self-starters who are innovative and motivated to build a new program.
• Proficient with a range of technology; eager to learn and teach new tools.
• At least 3+ years working with youth, especially older youth and those from vulnerable backgrounds.
• At least 2+ years designing and implementing new programs.
• At least 2+ years supervising staff.
• At least 1+ year organizing family and community engagement events.
• Responsible, organized, and able to communicate positively.
• Analytical approach to meet program benchmarks; trauma-informed and culturally competent.
• Must complete NYSDOH Fingerprinting Screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate college-career readiness programming and partnerships with employers.
• Lead workshops on resumes, skill-building, college exploration, and goal setting.
• Provide enrichment and coordinate with TTC Coordinator and Mentor Coordinator.
• Participate in Clubhouse Network events and regional activities.
• Attend regional calls and Best Buy connections; support annual summits.
• Oversee day-to-day learning model for youth and mentors, including weekend programming.
• Assist outreach to schools and partners to deepen TTC impact.
• Support youth in pursuing academic and career opportunities leveraging TTC experience.
