First Place for Youth is seeking a Direct Care Floater to provide hands-on youth support across case management, education and housing components in San Jose, CA. The role supports youth toward independent living with a strength-based, culturally competent approach.

Ideal candidates hold a BA in a social services field, with a preference for a Master’s degree, and demonstrate strong communication, empathy, and collaboration skills in community settings.

Qualifications

• BA in social work, psychology, counselling or equivalent required.
• Master's degree preferred where applicable.
• Strong cultural competency and ability to work in diverse communities.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct youth support in residence and community settings.
• Coordinate with Youth Advocates, Education and Employment Specialists, and Housing Specialists.
• Complete documentation including care plans and progress notes.
• Maintain safety, crisis de-escalation and goal attainment plans.
