Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services in Gahanna, OH is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide care for individuals with developmental disabilities in facilities and homes. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required.

• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable vehicle to transport individuals served
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance
• Fewer than 6 points on the driving record
• Ability to push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs and to climb, balance, kneel and crouch

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to foster independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of daily life.
• Completing household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required.

• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
