Job summary

ST MARYS HOME seeks a DSP2 to support children and young adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in our residential and community settings. The role focuses on person-centered care, safety, skill development, and meaningful daily activities aligned with each Individual Support Plan (ISP).

The DSP2 will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document progress, and apply compassionate, patient-centered approaches to help individuals grow and participate in their chosen routines.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Previous experience with individuals in elementary education or with special needs preferred.
• Experience with individuals with behavioral challenges preferred.
• Driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
• CPR, Basic First Aid, and some DSP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists assigned children and young adults with daily needs in the Home and community.
• Supports participation in activities, school prep, appointments, field trips, and community outings.
• Maintains health monitoring, fluid input/output, vital signs, and reporting changes.
• Implements ISP-directed support programs and documents progress.
• Maintains safety, supervises individuals, and reports incidents or injuries.
