National Youth Advocate Program in Tucson seeks a dedicated Youth Worker to support and empower youth within the La Jornada program. You will build trusting relationships, guide youth toward identified goals, and provide leadership and a warm, safe environment.

The role requires strong communication, bilingual capability, and a commitment to NYAP’s mission. Join a team that emphasizes advocacy, education, and collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to engage minors.
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency.
• Patience, empathy, and ability to provide emotional support to youth.
• Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with basic office equipment and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Interact with youth to develop trusting, supportive relationships and help achieve identified goals.
• Provide youth with leadership during the program.
• Create a warm, caring and safe atmosphere for youth.
• Perform duties consistent with NYAP’s mission and philosophies.
• Complete required training in a timely manner as per state/agency standards.
• Prepare program activities and manage room setups.
• Document program activities timely and accurately.
• Maintain positive attitude toward youth, families, and co-workers.
