Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions seeks a Participant Engagement & Retention Specialist in New Orleans to support youth participants through coaching, attendance tracking, and progress toward program goals.

You will develop individualized service strategies, connect participants to transportation, childcare, housing, and mental health resources, and document progress in case management systems while coordinating with instructors and employers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Education or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years experience in youth/workforce development, education, or case management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain supportive relationships with assigned youth participants.
• Monitor attendance, engagement, and progress toward program goals.
• Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions with participants.
• Identify individuals at risk of dropping out and implement intervention plans.
• Develop retention strategies that promote participant success and program completion.
• Maintain regular communication with participants via phone, text, email, and in person.
