Cenikor in Houston seeks a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our clinical team. You will work with clients to develop individualized treatment plans and deliver individual and group counseling in a therapeutic community setting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• Two years of substance abuse treatment experience preferred.
• One year of counseling experience with chemically dependent adolescents preferred.
• LCDC, LPC, LCSW, LMFT licensure required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Develops individualized treatment plan within three service days of admission.
• Conducts weekly treatment plan reviews.
• Provides individual and group counseling as indicated by the schedule and plan.
• Conducts chemical dependency counseling and life skills groups.
• Maintains a safe environment in collaboration with facility staff.
• Completes discharge summaries within two working days of discharge.
• Completes required referral reports and documents accurately.
• Monitors authorization length in Welligent and coordinates with Billing.
