Job summary

The Harris Center in Houston, TX, is seeking a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) to join our direct care team. This full-time position coordinates and provides specialized counseling for residents with substance use disorders, working with Care Coordinators and Psychiatric Technicians across community settings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, required.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized counseling, screenings, and assessments for SUD clients.
• Provide outreach services to increase access to services.
• Maintain familiarity with community resources for the target population.
• Ensure services meet eligibility criteria and are authorized per guidelines.
• Provide training on substance use, triggers, and coping mechanisms.
• Enter data into required systems (HMIS) and monitor program reports.
