Job summary

Seneca Family of Agencies seeks a Youth Stabilization Specialist for the Welcoming Center in California. You will work with youth aged 0-17, ensure safety and stability, conduct check-ins, run life skills groups, and provide crisis de-escalation and transportation coordination.

The Welcoming Center serves youth facing placement disruption in Santa Clara County, with a multidisciplinary team delivering 24/7 support. Candidates must meet on-call and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of experience or associate degree + 2 years of applicable experience.
• Experience working with youth or families or in social services is preferred.
• Be part of rotating emergency on-call system and must be at least 21.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of youth and maintain a structured, predictable routine.
• Participate in treatment planning meetings including CFT and education teams.
• Implement planned interventions to support social and emotional health.
• Complete client documentation and incident reporting.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support.
• Coordinate transportation for school, medical, activities, and court.
• Attend program staff meetings and participate in additional meetings.
