Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a part-time Youth Sports Assistant to support practices, games, and events, ensuring a quality experience for children and parents and upholding the YMCA core values.

You will promote the values, monitor play for safety, assist staff, greet parents, and help with program space, with evenings/weekends as needed. Candidates must be at least 16 and prepared to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• CPR, First Aid, AED within 30 days of hire.
• Effective communication with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Monitors play to ensure YMCA goals and safety rules are followed.
• Assists in delivering youth sports practices, games and events.
• Greet and communicate with parents; provide feedback during games.
• Maintain a clean, safe playing area and assist with program space.
