Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Part-Time youth program assistant to support planning, execution, and participant engagement across gym and sports fields. You will help foster youth development aligned with YMCA values while delivering a safe, engaging experience for children and their families.

The role requires flexible scheduling, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work with diverse age groups in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• CPR/First Aid/AED required within 30 days of hire.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to relate to and work well with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Promotes YMCA values and character development in activities.
• Plans and instructs sport drills to develop participant skills.
• Facilitates informal games and scrimmages.
• Ensures safety and cleanliness standards are followed.
• Maintains program area and equipment and helps with setup/breakdown.
• Keeps program records.
