Job summary

City of Suffolk is seeking a Recreation Leader to assist in implementing recreation athletic programs and leagues under direct supervision. This role includes evening and Saturday shifts, and supporting daily program administration.

The position involves supervising athletics, keeping facilities clean, using a computer for word processing and email, and communicating with staff and the public to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Must have completed 10th grade and be 16 years of age by start of employment.
• Ability to follow directions and perform a variety of duties.
• Ability to read and interpret information related to programs and activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision of athletics programming and leagues.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining the facility.
• Operate a personal computer and basic office programs (word processing, email, etc.).
• Communicate with supervisors, employees and the public, and participate in staff meetings.
