Homewood-Flossmoor Park District is seeking a part-time Athletic Instructor in Homewood, IL to lead instructional stages of sport programs, enforce park policies, and create safe, engaging activities for youth. The role emphasizes responsive service and teamwork with program staff.

You will develop lesson plans, supervise assistants, and ensure equipment and facilities meet safety standards, contributing to the district's mission to provide quality recreational opportunities.

Qualifications

• Expertise and knowledge in the sport.
• Ability to instruct, organize youth and understand safety needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to guests with friendly, responsive and courteous assistance.
• Conduct a safe and educational program.
• Develop a lesson plan for the program.
• Supervise athletic assistants in the program.
• Keep supervisor informed of league progress.
• Ensure proper conduct at the facility or park during program meetings.
• Be responsible for all equipment used in the program.
• Enforce park district rules and regulations for recreation programs.
• Solicit participant feedback and relay to supervisor.
• Adhere to Safety Manual policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
