Hyland Hills Parks & Recreation District is seeking a Youth Sports Instructor in Westminster, CO to introduce kids to sports and build basic skills. The role emphasizes energy, positivity, dependability, and a love for sports.

You will guide children through introductory programs, keeping sessions lively and focused on safe, fun participation. The position supports weekday evenings and requires completion of required trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to complete state mandated trainings prior to first shift.
• Knowledge of multiple sports (basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball and baseball).
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Weekday evenings available.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly sessions as part of our 6-week beginner programs.
• Teach basic skills and fundamentals in soccer, baseball, or basketball.
• Keep young athletes engaged through fun drills, activities, and games.
• Create a positive, supportive, and encouraging environment for all participants.
• Adjust activities to accommodate different ages and skill levels.
• Help children build confidence and develop a love for sports.
• Communicate positively with parents and program staff.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and fun environment.
