The Player Progression Academy (PPA) is seeking a reliable contractor for the PPA Plus team to lead youth sports programming for ages 2.5-10 on the field/court and manage weekend equipment. The role blends hands-on coaching with equipment coordination and requires a local NW DC/Montgomery County presence, a valid driver’s license, and ability to lift gear.
Expect ~15 hours weekly with additional weekend responsibilities during active seasons.
The Player Progression Academy is a multi-sport youth academy serving the NW DC/Montgomery County Region. Our Plus division spans Tots (ages 2-5) and Afterschool soccer, basketball and volleyball programs - bringing structured, coach-led youth sports to kids at their earliest introduction to the game. With an expansive community of over 3000 players, a dedicated team of over 100 coaches, and an office staff of 20 individuals, PPA is committed to fostering player development both inside and outside of the lines.
We're looking for a reliable, energetic, and organized contractor to fill a dual role on our PPA Plus team. You'll spend the majority of your time on the field/court leading youth sports programming - facilitating fun, developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 2.5-10. The rest of your time will be focused on equipment coordination: keeping our program stocked, organized, and running smoothly every weekend.
This is a boots-on-the-ground role that requires someone who's equally comfortable wrangling a group of kids and managing a storage unit full of cones and jerseys. If you have a background in education or recreation, love working with kids, and take pride in keeping operations organized and on time - this is the role for you.
