Job summary

The Player Progression Academy is seeking an Equipment Coordinator for weekend game days in the Bethesda, MD area. This in-person, part-time role supports fall season operations, with shifts on Saturdays and Sundays and pay at $25/hour.

You’ll manage transport, setup and teardown of equipment, and assist with storage and supplies, joining a small team dedicated to youth sports experience.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must have a large SUV or truck to fit 2 tents, 2 tables and 2 coolers.
• Able to lift and carry heavy equipment.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Previous sports or event logistics experience is a plus but not required.
• Must be available to work weekends.
• Passion for youth sports.

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment from storage to game fields/gym and back.
• Set up and take down soccer goals, cones, benches, and other gear.
• Drive the PPA van or a personal vehicle.
• Organize and maintain the storage unit and game day supplies.
• Lift and carry equipment including metal soccer goals.

About The Player Progression Academy (PPA):

The Player Progression Academy (PPA) is a premier youth sports academy located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. PPA offers comprehensive athletic programs for players aged 2 - 18 in basketball, soccer, and futsal. With an expansive community of over 3000 players, a dedicated team of over 150 coaches, and an office staff of 25 individuals, PPA is committed to fostering player development both inside and outside of the lines.

Position Overview:

Player Progression Academy (PPA) is hiring an Equipment Coordinator to support our youth soccer/hoops game day operations during the fall season. This role is perfect for someone who’s reliable, organized, and enjoys being part of a team.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Weekends (Saturdays & Sundays)
  • Morning: ~8:00–10:00 AM
  • Evening: ~5:00–7:00 PM
• Pay: $25/hour
• Season Dates: September 19 – November 15
• Team Size: Work with a supportive crew of 3-4 staff members

Key Responsibilities:
