Job summary

The Player Progression Academy (PPA) is seeking a reliable contractor for the PPA Plus team to lead youth sports programming for ages 2.5-10 on the field/court and manage weekend equipment. The role blends hands-on coaching with equipment coordination and requires a local NW DC/Montgomery County presence, a valid driver’s license, and ability to lift gear.

Expect ~15 hours weekly with additional weekend responsibilities during active seasons.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (ages 2-10) in sports, childcare, recreation, or education.
• Reliable, punctual, and communicative.
• Strong organizational and logistics skills; able to coordinate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Afterschool soccer/basketball/volleyball clinics (4+ hrs/week Mon-Fri 3-5pm).
• Coach Tots activities (2.5-5) including games and skill-building; follow curriculum.
• Manage equipment: order, organize, distribute, and transport gear weekly.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming environment and represent the PPA brand.
• Coordinate with coaches to ensure gear and staff are prepared weekly.
