YMCA of Central Stark County (Ohio) is seeking a Youth Basketball Instructor to coach and develop youth basketball skills in a fun, safe environment. You will help run training sessions, supervise open gym, and operate scoreboards during games and events, promoting teamwork and positive sportsmanship.

The role emphasizes creating a welcoming environment, building confidence, leadership, and lifelong memories for participants and families within the community.

Formación

• Basketball playing or coaching experience preferred.
• Experience engaging and working with youth of varying ages.
• Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends during volleyball seasons.
• Dependable, energetic, and committed to creating a positive experience for participants and families.

Responsabilidades

Youth Basketball Instructor

The YMCA is looking for an energetic, dependable, and enthusiastic Youth Basketball Instructor to help create a fun, encouraging, and skill-building environment for youth participants of all ages and ability levels.

Position Summary

The Youth Basketball Instructor will assist with a variety of youth basketball programs and activities, helping participants develop skills while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork in a safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Some basketball playing and/or coaching experience preferred (Just a basic knowledge of the sport needed!)
• Experience engaging and working with youth of varying ages
• Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends during volleyball seasons
• Dependable, energetic, and committed to creating a positive experience for participants and families
