Job summary

i9 Sports is seeking enthusiastic youth sports instructors for part-time roles in the McAllen area. You’ll help deliver a fun, structured environment for kids, coaching or officiating and supporting game-day operations.

We value a positive attitude, reliable attendance, and strong communication with families. Prior coaching or childcare experience is a plus, but not required; weekend availability is important for Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Experience with youth sports or coaching is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work weekends, mainly Saturdays.

About the Role

As part of our team, you'll help deliver a fun, structured, and encouraging environment for youth athletes. Whether coaching, officiating, or supporting game-day operations, you'll play a key role in creating memorable experiences for kids and families.

What You'll Do

• Lead or assist with youth sports programs (soccer, flag football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, etc.)
• Teach basic skills while emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship
• Set up and break down fields and equipment
• Communicate with parents and players in a positive, professional manner
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
• Support game-day operations, including coaching and officiating

What We're Looking For

• Passion for working with kids and youth sports
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work weekends (primarily Saturdays)
• Previous coaching, teaching, or childcare experience is a plus, but not required
