Job summary

The Maple Street YMCA in Omaha, NE is seeking a Youth Sports Director to lead sports activity programming across the branch, ensuring the YMCA mission is reflected in staff development and service delivery.

Key responsibilities include staff recruitment, program scheduling, budgeting, and community partnerships, with evening/weekend hours and a commitment to youth development and healthy living.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in customer service.
• Experience leading youth programming or equivalent team.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups and pass background check.
• Complete abuse prevention training prior to first shift.
• Follow youth boundaries policies and abuse risk management training.
• Promote reporting culture and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises program activities to meet community needs and YMCA objectives.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and directs staff, contractors and volunteers.
• Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.
• Manages payroll related transactions and monitors for accuracy.
• Coordinates scheduling, safety and use of facilities for activities and events.
• Supports fundraising activities and special events.
• Compiles program statistics and submits reports.
