Job summary

Soccer Stars and Amazing Athletes is seeking a full-time Youth Sports Development Specialist who is passionate about youth sports, leadership, and developing people. You will observe coaches, lead training sessions, mentor staff, support hiring, and ensure every class delivers an exceptional experience.

You'll travel across Long Island and Eastern Queens, visit classes and camps, help recruit and onboard new coaches, manage scheduling and equipment, and partner with leadership to raise coaching

Qualifications

• Experience coaching, teaching, mentoring, or leading youth programs required.
• Soccer experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable providing constructive feedback and coaching others.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and training sessions for coaches.
• Observe coaches and provide feedback through evaluations and coaching.
• Mentor coaches and prepare them for leadership opportunities.
• Identify high-performing coaches for advancement.
• Partner with leadership to improve coaching standards.
• Coach classes regularly while modeling best practices.
• Fill coaching vacancies to ensure consistent program delivery.
• Visit classes, camps, and clinics to ensure high quality experiences.
• Ensure curricula are delivered with enthusiasm and age-appropriate instruction.
• Assist with coach scheduling and onboarding of new staff.
• Manage equipment inventory and distribution.
• Develop organized equipment storage and tracking systems.
• Serve as a positive ambassador for Soccer Stars and Amazing Athletes.
