Job summary

Impact Kids in Sacramento seeks an energetic Youth Sports Coach to lead instruction in soccer, basketball, volleyball, and cross country for children ages 4–14 across multiple programs.

You will provide coaching, feedback, safety, and program coordination; a background check, CPR/First Aid certification, and willingness to travel between sites are required. Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience with children.
• Youth sports coaching or physical education instruction experience (1–5 years) required.
• Fingerprint-based background check, child abuse clearance, mandated reporter training, and CPR/First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily instruction in soccer, basketball, volleyball, and running/cross country for ages 4–14.
• Demonstrate skills and tactics, observe progress, and give feedback.
• Adapt drills to age groups and abilities to ensure participation.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, fitness, and confidence in each session.
• Transition between sports, schools, and program schedules as assigned.
• Supervise groups with focus on behavior, safety, and development.
• Ensure student and team safety.
• Create daily plans in a fun, creative manner.
• Lead sessions with effective classroom management to include all students.
• Collaborate with fellow Activity Specialists and adhere to company policies.
