Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Cleveland in Lyndhurst, OH seeks a Seasonal Day Camp Supervisor to oversee a group of children and foster positive relationships with families.

You will ensure child safety, follow curriculum, maintain records, and support staff; certifications include First Aid, CPR, concussion training, and licensing where applicable.

Strong communication, reading/writing skills, and adaptability to outdoor settings ensure a safe, engaging camp experience for youth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in sports programs preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old; concussion training prior to working in a sports-related activity; CPR and First Aid certification and safety training within 30 days of hire.
• ODJFS licensing certification within 30 days of hire (for licensed camps).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of the children enrolled.
• Document and respond to incidents.
• Maintain attendance sheets and required reports.
• Provide guidance during activities and follow the assigned curriculum.
• Maintain rapport with parents and participants.
• Maintain necessary supplies and certifications (First Aid, CPR, BBP).
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
