Job summary

Samaritas in Jackson, MI, is hiring a Youth Specialist II for the night shift. You will supervise refugee youth in a residential setting, support daily routines, transport to appointments, and act as a mentor to youth navigating trauma and cultural adjustment.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; CPR/First Aid certification and de-escalation skills are taught, bilingual Spanish is highly preferred, and candidates must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to learn de-escalation techniques and become CPR/First Aid certified.
• Direct care experience in mental health or working with vulnerable populations preferred.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver's license and transportation.

Schedule: 11 pm - 7 am

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and monitor overnight activity.
• Be a trusted mentor and advocate for youth navigating trauma, displacement, and cultural adjustment.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
