Job summary

Samaritas is seeking a Youth Specialist to support refugee youth in a residential setting in Jackson, MI. You will supervise and mentor youth to help them feel safe, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Responsibilities include daily routines, meal prep, medication administration, and transportation. Strong ties to trauma-informed care and cultural adjustment are essential; bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to learn de-escalation techniques and become CPR/First Aid certified.
• Direct care experience in mental health or with vulnerable populations preferred.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish strongly preferred.

• Create a family-like environment that models positive behaviors and expectations.
