Job summary

Family Service League Inc. Riverhead, NY is seeking a full-time Skill Builder for the Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS) program. The role delivers psychosocial rehabilitation to youth aged 5-20 in home and community settings, collaborating with families to support treatment goals.

Responsibilities include conducting weekly youth meetings, documenting in EMR, and coordinating with the treatment team. A NY license is required and transportation may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or a state credential with at least two years’ experience in children’s mental health, addiction, and/or foster care; or a bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related human services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly meetings with youth in home and community.
• Help youth develop skills toward goals aligned to age-appropriate tasks.
• Engage in activities with youth (discussions, role play, games, art).
• Provide documentation in Electronic Health Records and maintain team communication.
• Participate in weekly supervision and monthly staff meetings.
• Transport youth as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
