Job summary

The District of Columbia Department of Human Services (DHS), Family Services Administration, Youth Services Division, seeks a licensed social worker to support youth and families through assessments, counseling, and care planning across office, school, home and community settings.

Responsibilities include conducting visits, coordinating services with community partners, developing service plans, and responding to crises to promote safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade in the normal line of progression.

Responsibilities

• Conducts office, school, home and community visits to assess client needs and strengths.
• Develops service plans and coordinates with community providers to ensure appropriate care.
• Provides individual, group and family counseling; responds to crisis situations.

Education

Master's degree in Social Work (CSWE-accredited)
