Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year work experience with individuals and/or children with disabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge in modifications, adaptations, and use of specialized equipment.
• General knowledge of computer use and programs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated ability to teach others, including Daily Living Skills, social skills, and community involvement
• Assist and support children and youth with disabilities in becoming actively involved in their communities, develop friendships, and independent use of community resources
• Provide opportunities for inclusion through planned activities, social interactions, advocacy, training and education
• Provide assistance with personal care tasks as needed (e.g., mobility, eating, bathroom)
• Document daily activities in the required time frame and format
• Maintain open, respectful, and clear communication with participants, families, and supervisor
• Meet all necessary training requirements
• Transport and accompany individuals to community activities in company or personal vehicles
• Must pass WI caregiver background check
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to work flexible/non-standard schedule (including some evenings and weekends)
• Use of a company email address with MFA on personal phone; reliable vehicle required unless exempt

• Demonstrated ability to teach others. Including Daily Living Skills, social skills, and community involvement
• Assist and support children and youth with disabilities in becoming actively involved in their communities, develop friendships, and independent use of community resources
• Regularly provide opportunities for inclusion through planned activities, social interactions, exposure, advocacy, training and education as identified in the assessment and planning process
• Provide assistance with personal care tasks, as needed (i.e. mobility, eating, bathroom, etc.)
• Be knowledgeable in and able to document properly on all individual services provided daily in the required time frame and format
• Ability to maintain open, respectful, and clear communication with the participant, their families, and supervisor
• Meet all necessary training requirements
• Transport and accompany individuals to community activities in company or personal vehicles
• Must pass WI caregiver background check
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to work flexible/non-standard schedule (including some evenings and weekends)
