The role emphasizes helping patrons of all ages, shelving accurately, assisting with programs, and maintaining a welcoming environment. A high school diploma and strong interpersonal skills are required; some college is a plus.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Prior experience in customer service, retail, clerical, or library services preferred.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and software.

Responsabilidades

• Provides customer service at circulation and reference desks, including checking materials in/out, issuing library cards, and managing holds.
• Assists patrons with basic reference inquiries, locating materials, and navigating library resources.
• Provides basic technology support for public computers, printing, scanning, and digital resources.
• Sorts, shelves, and organizes library materials according to Dewey Decimal System.
• Assists with processing new materials and maintaining collection organization.
• Supports programming by setting up, assisting with, and cleaning up after events.
• Keeps the library environment clean and reports facility or safety concerns.
• Interacts with patrons professionally and courteously.
• Performs routine administrative and clerical support tasks.
