Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, supplemented by little or no previous experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Arranges library material in alphabetical and numerical order.
• Shelves and retrieves material from the shelves.
• Inspects library shelves for accuracy in shelving.
• Assists in searching for lost or misplaced materials.
• Processes library card application forms.
• Provides service at the various public service desks using the automated library computer system.
• Maintains holds shelves, adding and removing titles per requests and reports.
• Assists patrons with circulation, directional, and informational questions.
• Collects fines and fees.
• Assists in training new employees.
