Sampson County Public Library is seeking a Youth Services Co-Coordinator to design programs for children and teens and engage with the community across our four branches in Sampson County. This shared role emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and hands-on library operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with coursework in education, library science or another related field supplemented by experience working with children or teens
• Experience planning or leading programs for young people
• Creativity, energy, and a passion for inspiring children and teens
• Comfort with computers, office technology, and common software applications
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well with diverse groups
• A collaborative mindset: the ability to work effectively with a co-coordinator to ensure all programs and responsibilities are covered
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a love for working as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Design imaginative programs and activities for children and teens; participate in community outreach.
• Connect with local schools and organizations to strengthen the library's role in the community.
• Assist at the circulation desk; help patrons and shelve materials as needed.
• Collaborate with a co-coordinator to balance schedules and ensure all programs run smoothly.
